Little Red School House

I have always been fascinated with this classic quilt design, especially in the flag colors of red, white and blue. This day and age, I think our society should be proud of our freedoms we have, such as the right to an education, and freedom of speech. So much for the serious side,

Little Red School House is 6 x 4.5 inches (including the chimneys). The colors are red, white and blue stained glass, handmade by me. Each piece is hand cut, wrapped with a copper foil tape, soldered together, and a dark patina applied for the antique appeal. It has been cleaned and polished with a carnauba wax for protection and shine.

This is not a toy. The solder does contain lead, so hand washing ater handling is important. I have worked with glass for over 25 years, and never had a problem with lead poisioning.
