Naturally Dyed Silk Yarn, Indigo 4
Description
Silk 2 ply laceweight yarn in a lovely blue, naturally dyed with Japanese indigo that my grandparents grew for me on their farm in the mountains of Nagano Prefecture. The dyeing was done with fresh leaves on site, and I used the water from the irrigation canal that runs through their property and feeds the rice paddies in the area. It's diverted from a nearby river and runs down from the mountains, so it's truly crystal clear. In the group photo, this skein is the fourth one from the left. The color is almost solid.
