Hammered silver circle earrings with solid pebbles of silver

Description

Entirely hand crafted earrings each featuring a hammered and highly polished circle of Sterling silver, with a pebble, or nugget, of solid melted silver that balances and hangs, purely through gravity, at the bottom.

Whilst I hope that these earrings look simple and elegant, such a finish takes time, control and care and this is reflected in the price. Once the cold forging and soldering has been done, much time is spent filing, sanding and polishing to get this lovely smooth reflective finish - they are very slinky and smooth to the touch.

The earrings hang from hand crafted earwires which have a large enough hanging eye to allow the circles to move freely. The earwires have been hammered for strength and the ends rounded for your comfort and the earrings were finally finished by tumble polishing.

They hang 36mm (1.4") overall from the top of the earwires and each polished hammered circle is around 17mm (0.66") in diameter. Each solid nugget of silver is around >5mm (>0.2") in diameter and gives a nice weight to the circles.

There is a slight indentation in one of the pebbles where the molten silver sunk inwards as it cooled, but as they're so highly polished it blends in to the reflections.
