Wee Bushes Upon a Hillock WALL HANGING

Dear friends,

I have been smitten by the fabric collage bug, which flew into my window when I gave birth to my daughter in January. Watch out--my hands must be kept busy at all times sewing shapes and colors and patterns to each other! My favorite these days is becoming inspired by the printed designs on cotton fabric, and using those as a starting point.

Each wall hanging is crafted with a layer of Warm & Natural needled cotton batting between two layers of cotton fabric, the top of which has been hand-sewn with many pieces of fabric shapes, sewn onto one another to create an image. The back of each piece includes a tiny wood dowel at the top, covered with fabric, which serves to keep the piece from bowing out and to which a ribbon is tied to hang the piece.

In the case of this cute square wall hanging, wee bushes and trees grew up from a hillock, it's as simple as that!

So here you have a sweet something to hang on your baby or toddler or any-aged curious urchin's wall. Sure to be an object of affection to any child, adding to the soft sea of images that make up the many fields of childhood memories, that ultimately serve to nurture them as they grow into sensitive, creative human beings.
