Petroglyph tile set in Floating Blue Glaze

I just finished a small backsplash commission and as always, I made WAY too much tile for the job. So here are some nice tiles, perfect for a mosaic or small table top. In the first image, these tiles are laid out into a rectangle measure about 10.5 x 13.5" inches. There are a few more tiles, too (not shown) that match, and since the widths of these are all different, you can lay out any design you want.

These tiles all measure just a hair under 3.5" tall. The widths vary - ranging anywhere from about an inch to four inches wide. If you were making a backsplash with these, you'd have about 47" of tile to play with. (That works out to just over one square foot.)

These would be great for a border, or even just used alone, as a table top.

I used Black Mountain clay for this set, it fires to a deep chocolate brown color. The glaze is my version of Floating Blue - doesn't every potter have their own version? It runs from bright blues to teals to turquoise - and then turns brown where it's thinner. Very earthy, with pockets of brilliance.

This tile set was EXTREMELY difficult to photograph. Bright sunlight washed it out, and shade made it muddled. I've included a shot of the full set, but the photo is muddy. The actual colors are like the first and last images... gorgeous!

The Petroglyph pattern used in this tile set features a "Warriors" design. It's awesome. I have a TON of tile in the pipeline, including many textured patterns in modular sets, some new and amazing medallions, circles, semi-circles, and much more.
