Sewn to be stretchy (see Reese in the 4th picture). I love dog-sitting for my friend's rescue border collies, but quickly realized I needed more of an advantage to really play tug-o-war with the tennis balls. Enter my Loop!
Not only do they love playing tug with it, it's also softer on your hands than webbing on store-bought toys.

Also, about half the dogs I've seen playing with them, hold it by the knot and shake their heads back and forth, hitting themselves with the tennis ball...maybe there are some kind of acupressure points they're hitting? Seriously, they love it! I don't get it...but that's the joy of playing with dogs, right?

What makes my toys Earth-Friendly and Safer?
1. All my fabric (dog and cat toys) and tennis balls are washed with 7th Generation Free & Clear detergent (which is NON-TOXIC, biodegradable, hypo-allergenic, free of phosphates & optical brighteners, NOT tested on animals & kosher-certified)
2. I do not use fabric softeners!
3. My dog toys are made with recycled tennis balls (WHICH ARE MADE IN THE USA!) which I've washed in 7th Generation non-toxic detergent. I've entered into an agreement with Penn (the only company to make tennis balls in the USA) to recycle their tennis balls that fail quality control tests (i.e. fail bounce tests). They are all made in their Arizona plant. They are unable to recycle them since the rubber and felt are already attached, so I figure that our dog buddies don't care that the balls failed to bounce a certain height!
