cubist lucite silver earrings

Description

delicious glossy royal blue cubes of vintage lucite are combined with flat link sterling silver chain and handmade disc headpins. Handmade sterling silver earwires.

The beads are 10 mm, total length appr. 5 cm.

These earrings would go well with my Cubist necklace and Cubist bracelet, but please note it's a different chain.

Vintage lucite was a high quality plastic used in costume jewelry from the 1940s. Although more substantial than other plastic beads, it is surprisingly light weight and has a luscious shine and feel to it that makes it very different from modern plastic. Lucite beads are often seamless, as they are cut from a tube of lucite rather than press molded.
