Many Native American creation stories say that earth was born on the back of Turtle. Since it carries its home on its back, it is also seen as having the ability to take care of himself in difficult circumstances and is thought to have wisdom.

The nature inspired canvas is embellished with beads on the turtle’s back tied with waxed linen cord.

Each piece of artwork is unique and created when ordered. Some variations may occur in color, pattern and embellishments.
