70s Vintage Butterick 4575 Mens' Shirt Pattern, Size 40

Date on Envelope: None, but it was found with others from the 1970s. And that long pointed collar, not to mention Mr. Paisley in the middle, have that 70s feel.

Mens' Shirt -- Close-fitting shirt has pointed collar-on-band, shallow yoke, left front tuck band closing, full-length sleeves with plackets, shirttail hemline and topstitch trim. A and B - sleeves pleated into buttoned cuffs and bias optional straight grain patch pocket variations. C - princess seaming, sleeves slightly gathered into cuffs and hammer-on snap or buttoned closings.

Sometimes it's even more fun to update it or make it a little differently to suit your taste.

And sometimes the only thing you can do with that totally awesome vintage yardage you have is build an equally awesome vintage garment. But the only way to make it look "right" is to use a pattern it was meant to be used with back in the day.
