Carey Magic Inch estate pipe - restored
Description
Carey pipes were well known among soldiers in WWI and WWII. It is not known if this pipe is that old but Carey pipes are well known smokers and the design hasn't changed much over the years.This pipe is partially rusticated/scored and is what's called a freestyle shape.
The pipe is stamped "Carey Magic Inch - Patent No. 3267941" and is from Israel (country is also stamped on the pipe.) The stem is stamped with the company logo - the letter C in a square. The slots on the stem are actually for the filter that is a part of the tenon, supposedly to make for a smoother, cooler smoke.
Although this pipe was well smoked, the restoration and sanitation really pulled the little guy back to life.
Pipe measures 6" long, 3/4" bowl diameter and stands at 3" tall.
Polished with carnauba wax and Brebbia pipe stem polish.
