Nesting Birds Necklace -- sterling silver with pearls by Kathryn Riechert
Description
This necklace is made from solid sterling silver with white freshwater pearls for the eggs.The necklace is about 16" in length and fastens by a lobster clasp. I have signed the necklace on a small tag near the clasp.
The circle in the front is 1" (27mm) in diameter and was cast by a professional caster after making a mold of my original fabricated design. The nest is interwoven by hand and can be slid to a new location along the bottom half of the circle.
The necklace was dipping in a patina to darken and enhance the details.
