The beautiful glass fused clay cabochon from Etsy's own http://artisanclay.etsy.com instantly reminded me of Christmas...which had me think I should pay tribute to the Ghost of Christmas Present in all of his Victorian luxury.

The great thing about this piece, of course, is that it's not restricted to holiday wear.

I created the necklace by weaving a gold and emerald green bezel and bail for the beautiful cabochon. The gold beads are 24-kt gold plated delicas, so the color is amazingly rich (like gold!) in real life.

The necklace portion of the piece consists of three crocheted ropes in rayon embroidery floss. I love being able to work with both the Sand (beads) and Fiber (yarn) in my name :D

The pendant measures 1.7" by 2.2". The rope is about 26" long and can be tied to whatever length you choose to match your mood and/or neckline.

Here's artisanclay's description of how she creates her glass-fused pieces: "The Piece itself has been fused with Stained Glass during the Kiln-firing process. I have combined many kinds of glass (clear, opaque, milky, and different colors) The Glasses become liquid and bleed into each other in the kiln swirling ands blending at the edges. Finally as I cool the kiln the glass fractures and crackles but with a smooth glass top. The crackling refracts light and glistens in the sun."

Please note that my feelings will not be hurt if you choose to wear this pendant with a different chain/rope.

This necklace will be shipped in an elegant gift box using First Class Mail with delivery confirmation. You can upgrade to Priority Mail for $3 by leaving a request in the "Message to Seller" box of the purchase order; wait for an amended invoice.
