25 ROWAN WOOD RUNE STONES for divination with instructions

Description

This is a gorgeous set of rowan wood runes. They are cut with a handsaw and then sanded before the rune is burnt onto them - to make them hard wearing, then they each get a coat of beeswax polish (organic and local!).

The runes are of the elder futhark system, and include 24 runes and one blank - some people use it as a spare, others as a 'wyrd' rune - whatever works for you!

Rowan is a native british tree, that is associated with magic, protection and the fey.

The wood comes from prunings/storm damage, I don't cut wood off trees for rune making.

They come with a handmade cloth bag - the colour may vary from the picture, it depends what I have to hand, and I recycle the cloth rather than buying new.

There is also a little instruction booklet, giving you the basics to get you started and a list of recommended further reading.

I've been making and selling runes for years (and using them myself) and am able to make runes in a wide variety of woods (birch, alder, rowan, willow, ash, hawthorn, oak, hazel, blackthorn, ivy, yew, linden/lime, beech and rose) so please contact me if you would like runes of another wood and I can list them for you!
