70s Vintage Butterick 6197 Quick Misses Shirt Vest and Bow Tie Pattern Size 12, Bust 34

Condition: Uncut (see pictures for more envelope detail) At some point in this poor pattern's life, it suffered some flooding. The back of the envelope is missing. All of the pages come apart to read and work with. They are not stuck together. It's definitely a useable pattern. Enjoy the discounted price for this uncut pattern!
Date on Envelope: None, but it was found with others from the 1970s

Misses Shirt Vest and Bow Tie -- Loose-fitting shirt with front buttoned closing, slightly deep armhole and shaped hemline with slits. Full-length sleeves or above elbow length sleeves with continuous lap opening gathered into button cuffs. Full-length sleeves can be worn rolled up. Note: Wrong side of fabric will show when sleeves are worn rolled up. A: has band collar. B: has pointed collar-on-band. C: has Peter Pan collar-on-band. Boxy lined-to-edge vest with or without front buttoned closing and self drawstring waistline, has round neckline and cut-away armholes. Topstitch trim. Instructions are included for bowtie.

Sometimes it's even more fun to update it or make it a little differently to suit your taste.

And sometimes the only thing you can do with that totally awesome vintage yardage you have is build an equally awesome vintage garment. But the only way to make it look "right" is to use a pattern it was meant to be used with back in the day.
