This is one of 3 paintings I painted at the same time, inspired by real autumn leaves and my imagination. I'd called these paintings the painting version of Magical Realism -- true-to-life with a touch of dreaming. This painting is painted on gallery canvas - the sides are painted and it's ready to hang, without framing - though you can frame it if you chose.

the colors are brilliant gold, dusky gold, umber, caramel, amber, and red. the background is an earthy slate brown with prussian blue.
