Johnny Rotten Anarchy Mitts
These gloves were originally hand knitted by Alabama Whirly from her own pattern whilst listening all the while to her Fidelity old record player. These Union Jack gloves are a homage to The Sex Pistols, Johnny Rotten and God Save the Queen (the record).

Recommended Yarn:
The yarn is hand dyed by Skein Queen, Desire, DK / 8 ply (11 wpi) 100% merino, DK weight yarn, dyed in the UK, machine wash on cool cycle
The hand dyed yarn will have variations but we love that for our complete glove anarchy.

Finished Size:
(s) 23cms/ 9 inches long and 15-16cms/6.-6.5 inches wide,
(m) 25.5cms/ 10 inches long and 16-17cms/6.5-7 inches wide,
(l) 28cms/11 inches long and 19-20cms/7.5 - 8 inches wide

Gauge, stocking st unblocked following the chart in the round = 2” / 5cm
(s) 14 sts / 14 rows (m) 13 sts / 13 rows (l) 12 sts / 12 rows

Needles and notions:
(s) 3mm for edging, 3.5mm (m) 3.5mm for edging, 4mm (l) 4mm for edging, 4.5mm

This pattern is knit on a circular needle using the Magic Loop technique. You can alternatively use either the 2 circular needle method or set of 5 DPN’s. If you prefer to work flat on straight needles, it is possible to modify this pattern to suit
