Two large HMS Victory wooden coasters with original features
Description
These coasters have been hand made from some oak wood removed from the HMS Victory, Portsmouth, England, during her restoration a few years ago.They have been carefully made so that, amazingly, the original white paint from the ship remains on two sides of both coasters.One of them also features part of the original pine dowels used for construction of the ship.
The other edges of the coasters have been left with a natural, rusticy finish.
The underneaths are felted so they can be used as coasters if you wish, or simply as decoration.
A unique piece of British history. The coasters will come with a Certificate of Provenance to certify this is the original material removed from the ship.
They each measure 8 x 5 inches.
