The Potli handbag is my take on an Indian classic, a small cloth drawstring sack which is called a "Potli". In days past it was very common for people to tie a cloth potli to a part of their clothing and it went around everywhere they went. The word potli has now found its way into our food and a piece of pastry with stuffing inside can also be called a potli.

The new elegant and practical Potli bag is made from cow hide. The leather is supple & shiny, and the grain looks gorgeous as it has a slight crackled look. This leather will age very nicely and will give a crackled look and two tone color feel with more usage.

The bag is big enough to hold your personal effects and other knickknack’s all together. It is a versatile and timeless design that can be used in various ways. It comes with two shoulder straps that are attached to the bag body with silver metal buckles. The buckles also give you the option to adjust the shoulder drop. You could use either of the straps to wear the bag either just on your shoulder or cross body/messenger style. Both these combined give you options, to wear the bag in different styles.

It has one zippered pocket along with three open pockets for cell phone /coins /keys /business cards/personal makeup....on the inside. This bag is also fully lined with pure cotton block printed fabric, and closes with leather drawstring.

I use professional grade threads, hardware and genuine YKK Brass Zippers and Zip Runners..... These products are made specifically for bag and luggage manufacturers.
