I stumbled across this beautiful poem the other day and thought it just suited this necklace of brass lovebirds and smoky quartz, a stone which somehow always puts me in the mind of things melancholy and lovely.

A simple necklace with a whole lot of impact, this piece has as its base a beautifully faceted teardrop of smoky quartz (not glass) which measures a full inch in length. I have then bent and wire wrapped the brass lovebirds around the stone, so there is absolutely no possibility of the stone shifting or slipping out of the lovebird's embrace. From bail to bottom, the pendant measures an inch and a half and hangs from an antiqued brass chain 17 and a half inches in length that has been finished off with an antiqued brass clasp.

Stunning and simple. You'll fall head over heels.
