Landsknecht Schlappe - 16th c German Man's Wool Hat

Description

After being in the re-enactment world for several years, I began to despair at the lack of quality goods for the German Renaissance period. This is my small attempt to do something about that!

This style of Schlappe is seen on the fighting man, weither on the battlefield, in town defense or at a festival drinking their pay. It was created after several months of extensive research and indepth study of the available art and text sources.

*This Schlappe is made of 100% wool fabric, lined with 100% linen.
*No visible machine stitching on either the inside or the outside.
*Ties are fingerloop braided from wool weaving yarn.
*Colors are specifically chosen to be correct for the time period

I create this hat to your specific measurements and choice of color. Please select from the colors available in the last picture and include it in the note when you check out.

Upon recieving your order, I will contact you with 24 hours and send you the instructions for the measurements.

Once I recieve the measurements, the Schlappe will be in the mail in 7 days. If it will be longer, I will notify you.
