head in the clouds - in sky blue
Description
Head in the clouds is embroidered in slate and sky blue on beautiful homespun linen that is between 80-120 years old. The porcelain doll arms are from Germany and were dug from the earth on the grounds of an old doll factory that operated between 1890-1920. The piece is framed in a vintage metal embroidery hoop with spring tension that is 5 1/4 inches in diameter. The fact that the hoop is aged and a bit tarnished really adds to this piece. Head in the clouds is backed with wool/rayon blend felt and is signed and dated on the back.
