Handpainted porcelain tumbler - For the Shoe Fanatic

Description

The surface of this white matte glazed tumbler feels and looks like white paper which inspired me to draw with a dip pen and fluid overglaze.
These tumblers are like pages of a sketchbook, with visual notes of every day things, doodles of no matter what. I try not to think and just let it happen. A kind of drawing gymnastics. If the glaze lands well during this excercise I am happy and fire the tumbler, if not I wash off the glaze and start again later
I first drew the outlines of the drawings, fired them in the kiln and then coloured the them with overglaze pigments as if it were watercolour and gave it a second firing.
The inside of the tumbler has a white gloss glaze.
The cup holds 8 0z (or 25 cl.)and is 3.1 inches high and 4 inches wide (10,2cm x 8cm) and comes in a white giftbox.

Dishwasher and microwave safe.
