Vintage Parenting Book - incredible for creative parents

I found this book a couple years ago, and have been waiting until I had several of them to add them to this site. This is probably the best parenting book I have ever read. It’s basic purpose is to teach parents to provide play spaces that encourage important development stages.

In almost every chapter is a section titled: “New Uses for Old Things”, “Make it Yourself”, and “Keep a Little List.” That last one is about keeping track of toys and equipment you can’t easily make or reuse, that you might want to put on your Christmas and birthday lists.

The book is written in a way that is so easy to follow and understand, by a trio that seems to really “get” kids. It is also written in an adorable, idyllic style that supports a childhood not grounded in commercial tv. (Plus the illustrations are amazing!)

This book is no longer in print, so please keep in mind that they are in good used condition. I won't list one that has rips or missing pages--that's what my copy is like--but there still might be discoloration of pages, and general reading wear. Buy this book for its history and information.
