WHY BLACK AND WHITE?

According to child development research, the best stimulation for your baby's vision is through the use of BLACK and WHITE HIGH-CONTRAST shapes and designs. Visual stimulation helps infant cognitive development by providing stimulating visual input. Unlike adult eyes which can distinguish millions of different shades of light and color, your baby's eyes can only detect large contrasts between light and dark, or black and white.

2. Visual Discrimination. Each beautiful design is used twice (no more-no less) within the set. By helping your child sort and find matches, visual discrimination skills are built.

1. I DO NOT use pressure-treated wood! (This process employs chemicals which could be hazardous to your child's health.)
2. All paint used is non-toxic and lead-free.
3. Glaze is non-toxic, non-flammable, and water-based.
4. Edges of blocks are sanded (rounded off)

***Despite my every effort to make items as safe as possible for your child, you should ALWAYS supervise your child while at play.***

This listing is for SIX wooden blocks, measuring approximately 1.5 inches across. They are cut, sanded, papered, and glazed by hand.
Several layers of glaze enable item to be gently wiped clean with plain water on a damp cloth when needed and increases durability.
