This Calavera (skull) ornament was inspired by the Day of the Dead celebration of Mexico and Latin America.

The Day of the Dead (El Día de los Muertos or All Souls' Day) is a holiday that focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died. The celebration occurs on the 2nd of November in connection with the Catholic holiday of All Saints' Day which occurs on Nov 1st and All Souls' Day which occurs on Nov 2nd (from wikipedia).

These, fun and sparkly ornaments are made from brass and aluminum craft metal. They are carefully hand-cut, hand-painted and embellished with buttons, sequins and glitter. Colorful string and glass beads finish each piece for hanging on the wall, ornament tree, door, window, lamp.

Measures 3.5 x 4 inches (not including string).

Not recommended for outdoors and not intended for small hands.
