As the heat is weighing down upon us during summer months... my thoughts are working towards the cooler fall temperatures. As soon as the days grow shorter and the thermometer falls, harvesting seems more in the forefront of things. Squirrels can run football like zig-zag patterns through my yard trying to capture their wintry pantry under the crazy eyes of my dear dog. Maple leaves from our trees turn crispy and fall from their temporary arborial anchors. Brilliant colors as well as brown surely will float downward, earthbound. The wild rash of oranges and reds and former greens will be ultimately replaced by simple whites, browns and other neutral tones. Somehow it seems like it may be calmer. I know differently. School and sports schedules will wreak havoc. Neutral tones may help to keep chaos from reigning supremely, perhaps toning inclinations to "GO NUTS".
