For you I will do a 5 card reading using a spread that I created called 'Holistic Spirit'. This spread is good for guidance and finding spiritual balance as well as the insight needed to bring peace in everyday life.

Head represents the thoughts regarding this situation-
The thought is a matter of exposure, you want to be seen and recognized. Your intention is to put forth what ever energy that is needed to see this situation through.
But beware of exhaustion. All the little fey surrounding the larger fey are representational of all those involved in your son’s life. Each one needs some ‘piece’ of you. Going into these situations gather your energies and let them flow with the determination that is rooted in the family unit.

Heart, what you feel-
It’s pretty obvious from the imagery what this card is all about. The mother Queen sits expressionless. She is very focused on what she is experiencing. I see a bit of letting go of some emotions from a certain era within the history of this situation. This is also a look at your wish to bring your son home. I think that it is important to separate your emotions from the situation when faced with it and those involved. Your emotions might be getting in the way so to speak.
It’s not clear to me the specifics of the reasons of why your son is in this situation and not with you or why you can’t get him back in some way. But it seems that there is a lack of faith in you coming from the system. Find out what that is!! But you will need to by sly about it…you’ll see why.

Left Hand- creative actions;
We see a Mother Fey again, this one, of the Pentacles suit. She seems too childish to be a mother, thus miss-represented. Others underestimate her. This adds to her abilities. Like a surprise attack.
This card says that some creative avenue is there where balance can be found. There is something that you can do that the system does not expect that you can do. The earthy queen says, set down those roots and send them deep. Once your flower is blooming, present it to them. They cannot deny what is right in front of their face.

Right Hand is the logical needs/actions of the situation- And we continue the journey from the left hand to the right- both hands are working together. This image repeats the message of the queen. To get it all together and in working order and then out of no where show it to them. Keep in mind the slow determined pace of the tortoise. The end of this road is quite a ways away. Do not let this time-distance wear you down- remember the exhaustion factor in the 6 Pentacles. Also, there is going to be quite the level of personal exposure (as suggested in the first & last cards). You need to be prepared for this. Put the analytical Capricorn mind to work.

There is a lot of suggestion of communication within these cards and I sense that maybe the main area that hinders you in all this.

Home-
The Star card here is comforting to see. Home is what you have. Your dream is right, you can have what you want, but there is a sacrifice tied to such. An element of fear needs to be sent off and away. Change the energies from negative to positive. Turn a worried thought into a hopeful future…
Wishing upon a star is a manifestation of destiny in a manner of speaking…..keep the faith….and shine brightly before the system….
