Envelope Wallet-Mah Jongg

I’m from a big Chinese family, and the game of mah jongg is a mainstay at our gatherings. I love the sound of the clacking tiles, the click of building the walls and Aunt Gladys gleefully yelling “PUNG”. So it’s no wonder that the fabric for this wallet is part of my collection. These maj jongg tiles have characters in brick red, orange and ochre yellow. Accenting the tiles is an appliquéd stripe of little white barbells on red. Inside the wallet is an ochre lining and the wallet closes with a shiny black metal snap. Aunt Gladys has incredible luck at mah jongg, I hope some of it ends up in this wallet!

This wallet is for the times you want lots of things right at your finger-tips. Two long pockets are sized to hold any number of things: cash, receipts, or a checkbook. The lower pocket has 6 credit card slots (I’ve been known to sneak 2 or 3 cards into each slot). The upper pocket has a vinyl ID pocket and a flapped change purse with a black metal snap. The wallet has an ample envelope-shaped flap to keep everything secure. Whether you toss it into your purse or carry it as a clutch, this wallet will help you be organized and stylish all at the same time!
