Spanish Colonial Virgin Ornament

Description

An oval, fabric hanging ornament features a serene image of Virgin Mary in primitive, Latin American style. Crowned with sun rays and crescent moon at her feet, a popular representation in 17th century colonial Cuzco or Mexico.

She is dressed in red and green and brown, highlighted by metallic gold. Decorative drapes and flowers surround her. A dark green and gold border frames the oval. The back of the ornament features one, large, beautifully-detailed flower in luscious dark green, deep red and metallic gold on the same light tan background. The attached loop is made from sheer, silky hand-dyed gold ribbon with delicate gold threads.

The dimensions of the oval are 7" high, 4" wide and about 1" deep (but you can fluff out the filling or compress it to suit yourself). The loop is 3" long.

The ornament is filled with fluffy, eco-friendly ingeo fiberfill so that is super-light, ideal for hanging anywhere to decorate your home.
