FREE POST - Bright Flame Sliced Agate and Flame She Oak Hair Stick
Description
When I saw the colour of the agate slice I knew the timber I wanted to use on this hairstick!Flame She Oak is a native to Australia. It is not an oak, only called that because of the similarity in grain pattern. It's a nice hard wood with beautiful flecks of deep orange, almost red, through it.
The timber part of the stick is just over 6 inches long, with a useable length of just over 5 inches. The total stick, including the agate, is just over 8 inches long.
The agate is semi transparent, and when the sun is behind it, glows beautifully. You are sure to get comments when you wear it!
The stick is made by me, on my lathe in my backyard, and please excuse the photos of my hands - that's what happens when you deal with wood and glue all day!
