In this tutorial I will show you how to make one of these beautiful flower pendants, which uses a combination of bead embroidery and bead weaving with seed beads and a small cabochon or button.

Complete with colour step-by-step photographs, this tutorial is suitable for beginners and experienced beaders alike.

The instructions show how to make one of my Black Eyed Susan flowers but the colours can be substituted to make many other flowers. The size of the finished pendant is 6cm/2½" in diameter.

Materials you will need for this project are.....
A small cabochon or button
Size 11/0 Japanese seed beads in two colours
A beading needle & beading thread
Sharp pair of scissors
Glue
A small piece of foundation fabric (Lacy's Stiff Stuff or extra heavy interfacing)
A small piece of Ultrasuede for the back
