When I started knitting it, I was entranced by the way the stitches held subtly different shades of orange, like the petals of a marigold--darker oranges open up into lighter, almost golden tones. Even though I'd seen the yarn, I had no idea how beautiful it was going to look knit into this enormous, comfy, smooshy-soft scarf.
