Blue Owl on Birch Bark Ornament

Just in time for Christmas, this lightweight Birch Bark ornament sports a blue owl vintage label. This owl stayed awake all night to witness the birth of the Christ Child. It is 3.25 inches in diameter and framed with a jute braid in the fall colors of green, orange, and yellow and finished with several coats of polycrylic.

The inspiration for this piece began with a challenge from TinkersShop on Etsy to use a vintage label from her shop to create a unique item. We have lots of owls here in Maine and lots of birch trees. It just seemed like the two should go together, but I wanted the ornament to be lightweight. And since it was peak leaf peeking season while I was crafting this piece, I surrounded it with jute in the traditional fall colors.

To keep the shipping reasonable in proportion to this item's price, this item will be mailed USPS regular mail (7-10 day delivery)rather than Priority Mail. If you'd like it shipped priority mail (2-3 day delivery) add $4.50 to the total at check out and mention priority mail in the notes to seller section.
