Dimensions of the glass are 8.5" across. The brass legs extend another 6", for a total height of 16". Pushing it 3" into the soil will give you firm footing against even high winds, while still keeping the glass a couple of inches above the lawn or mulch. The antiqued black patina will continue to oxidize in the rain and moisture, resulting in a soft natural finish.
