coneflowers and butterfly art - MONARCH DANCE 5x7 art print

Description

A brilliant orange monarch butterfly happily dances over a bed of deep pink coneflowers - "Monarch Dance" is an illustration based on a photo which I took in my own butterfly garden, and I am now making prints available of the piece.

"Monarch Dance" was originally illustrated in Derwent watercolor pencil and Sharpie markers. The image area of this print measures 4.75 inches deep x 6.75 inches wide with a 1-1/2 inch white margin all the way around, the perfect size to fit in traditional mats for 5x7 prints. The image is printed on 200GSM Inkpress Matte 60, a bright white, acid and lignin free paper that is also very lightfast. A coat of Krylon Preserve It! further protects the print from UV rays and moisture, and more than doubles the life of the print. My traditional acorn signature prints on the front, and I will sign and date the back.

10% of the purchase price of "Monarch Dance" will be distributed between two charities; 5% will be donated to VanishingBees.com, to help their efforts in the research and awareness of Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD); and 5% will be donated to EFA Artists Helping Animals' charity of the month.
