Le Jardin De Secret- Decorative Dish

This dish with it's twisting vine and the matte weathered green makes me feel like it's been around for a very long time. It makes me think of another time, and a secret place. That is why I named it "the secret garden" dish. Perfect for the dresser or a bedside table to hold jewelry and other goodies.
The dish was hand-thrown from stoneware clay, trimmed, tristing vine added to one side. It was then embelished with three blooming flowers. The matte green glaze gives the appearance of years old patina, while the flowers were glazed in a clear glaze, to allow the natural porcelain to show through.

****This glaze is not food safe and is intended for decorative purposes only.***

Fired to cone 7 (2262F) it is dishwasher safe, but as all hand-made items would prefer the extra care of hand washing. The dish is 1" tall and 3 1/2" in diameter.
