Celtic Keepsake -- handwoven lace tissue holder

The Celtic knot is considered by many to be symbolic of eternal life and eternal love. The simple violet flower is traditionally used to symbolize good luck in bridal bouquets. This is a wedding keepsake that is both meaningful and practical.

The handwoven lace is made from finely spun mercerized ivory cotton and is my favorite lace to use for wedding accessories. It is delicate, light-weight, and has a subtle sheen. My own pattern designed for working with handwoven fabric. This tissue holder is lined and backed with high quality quilter's cotton in a subtle floral design (see the accompanying photo). The ivory ribbon violet sits on an avocado-colored ribbon in a figure 8 arrangement. The Celtic knot sits in the center of the flower and is gold in color. This measures approximately 3x5" and will hold a standard sized package of travel tissues. Handwoven and sewn in a smoke-free home.
