Aqua Sea Berry sea glass and sterling silver necklace

Description

A hand forged stem and leaf with an aqua sea glass berry hangs on an 18" sterling silver box chain. The silver is oxidized for an antiqued look, and lightly sanded for lighter silver highlights. The pendant measures 1 3/8 (3.4 cm) in length.

Sea glass, also known as beach glass or mermaid's tears, is nature's answer to bottles, china and pottery carelessly thrown into the sea many years ago. The glass is tumbled on the ocean floor, smoothed by the waves and sand until it washes up on shore, waiting to be found by a lucky passerby.
