Grandpa Slippers, Hand Knitted to fit baby aged 0-3 months

There's times when even the most adventurous explorer just wants to kick off their shoes and have a cuddle with grandpa, listening to his tales of travel and adventures many years ago. These soft and comfy slip-ons are just the thing for those special moments.

Knitted in Rowan Classic Cashmere Tweed (unfortunately now discontinued) in Pewter, it is a lightish grey with subtle flecks of blue and red, a blend of 90% cashmere and 10% silk. I have added a criss-cross pattern in cross stitch and a mock strap complete with wooden button to give the slippers an authentic grandpa look.

The length of the sole is approximately 3½ inches. The great thing about a yarn slipper is that it hugs baby's foot as it grows, ensuring a perfect fit. You don't need to allow extra room as you would in a more traditional shoe.
