Orange and Black Halloween Book with Vintage Photo

Description

Dimensions: 7 and 1/8 inches high, 6 and 3/16 inches wide; this is a good size journal!

Cover: The book is covered with orange Iris book cloth and reveals a clear Halloween theme. It features an old photograph of adults dressed up in Halloween costumes as well as a paper key (this cut out comes from porkchopshow on Etsy). This book is quarter bound with black Buckram book cloth adorning the spine. The case of the book consists of two layers of book board glued together, making the journal more substantial and sturdier in nature.

End Sheets: The end sheets are cut from Arches paper that I painted using orange, red, and yellow acrylic paint and black ink.

Book Block: The unlined pages are hand sewn using 80 lb. text weight off-white Mohawk Superfine paper, which is acid free. It makes for smooth writing with a variety of pencils and pens. This paper is heavy enough, that with care, it can also handle various paints and inks.

Pages: There are 78 single sheets and 158 sheets when taking the front and back into account.

This book would make a great diary or journal for a writer or an artist. Since the pages are blank, there is a great deal of flexibility in its use.
