treasure box - magenta with silver - magnetic closure
Description
Entirely handmade box.Inside box measures slightly under 3.5 x 3.5 inches. 2-inches deep.
Exterior measures 4 x 4 x 2-3/8 inches.
Made with book binding techniques.
Paper: Handmade magenta with silver, wish I knew more. I picked it up while traveling and can't find it again anywhere.
Drop spine design.
Magnets recessed into lid and box front hold lid tightly shut.
100% archival.
I make my boxes from scratch. The structure is book board. I recess a small strong magnet into the front edge of the box. Another strong magnet is aligned and recessed into the box lid. The spine of the box is 'drop' (not glued to the tray). The magnets hold it tightly shut.
To give you an idea of scale, a Post-It cube fits inside with a little wiggle room.
