Luscious Logwood

Description

This 2.5 oz. handspun skein, has been made from a corriedale cross roving. The wool is from a local organically run ranch just 20 minutes from my home.

This gorgeous wool was hand-dyed in logwood from the Indios people of the Dominican Republic. This is a fair trade Logwood project that benefits both the people, with fair prices, and the land- as the wood is harvested sustainably. It must be harvested this way, so that the people can continue to prosper from its use. The suckers, and shoots are used, so that the tree continues to thrive.

Yarn is two-ply, the spin has been carefully set in warm lavender water.
