This wonderfully easy to knit baby blanket was especially designed for my best girlfriend's grandbaby. His name is Ari and he absolutely loves it (as you can see).

You will love it as much as he does! It makes a wonderful lap blanket for the baby in you to cuddle up in also.

It is simple to make and yet has a very unique appearance. You could whip this out in a long weekend, if not sooner. It is a wonderful beginner's project.

It is stitched in simple knit and purl stitches. There are no breaks in the yarn and no difficult techniques used to accomplish this blanket. You can use any flat, one color yarn you like with any needle size that works with your yarn choice to achieve this unusual look.
