The Metamorphosis - OOAK Freestanding Art

Description

Housed in this antique box are two pieces of art in one.

Both compartments feature figures cast from antique Frozen Charlotte dolls. The top figure has real cicada wings (found in my yard late in the season). The bottom compartment is hand-painted and features a figure with a gorgeous peacock's tail.

This mixed media sculpture is free-standing, but the wood is thick enough to attach hanging brackets with small nails or screws as well.

The box itself is an antique cheese box, and is well-worn with an aura of mystery.

This piece would make an excellent addition to decor themed on the darker side or for your boudoir, or you can use it as a conversation piece in your Halloween decorating.

Box stands about 14 inches tall, by about 6 inches wide.
