RESERVED fo mickjagger Argus LC3 Camera with Case (aka The Brick)
Description
This item is reserved for mickjagger.Very cool camera: The Argus LC3, with light meter and Argus 50MM f 3.5 lens. Comes with its original leather case, which is marked on the bottom "TOP GRAIN COWHIDE MADE IN U.S.A". The C3 series cameras were also referred to as "the brick" due to their large size, boxy shape, and hefty weight. This camera series was made from 1958-1966. The camera body is bakelite. The LC3 has a two toned face in black and gold leather or possibly faux leather, with the same gold on the back of the camera. Chrome plated trim, and other metal fittings are chromium plated steel or anodised aluminium.
Please note that this camera is UNTESTED, and therefore is being sold for display purposes. The camera looks great, has some some light signs of wear. There is a spot of discoloration on the gold part of the gold leather face. The camera measures 5 1/2"long x 3 1/4" wide x 3 3/4"tall.
Although the user's manual is not present, you can find a lot of information about this camera online. The Argus C3 series cameras are very collectible, and collectors are proactive in uploading lots of valuable information about these cameras, including downloadable brochures, tips on repairing your camera (apparently the "brick" cameras are recommended due to their ease of repair for even amateur vintage camera enthusiasts), changing out lenses (100 mm and 35 mm lenses were also available for the C3 series cameras), etc.

Please note that I am a novice when it comes to vintage cameras, and all information above was taken from Argus collector and vintage camera users' websites. Because of my inexperience with vintage cameras, the camera is untested, and I'm recommending purchase for display or for the vintage camera enthusiast who can work on cameras, should there be functionality issues with this camera.
