Inca style pearl, gemstone and vermeil pendant necklace

Description

This necklace, reminiscent of the treasures of the Incas, is strung with aubergine hued pearls, amethysts, hessonite garnets and vermeil in a longer length. The focal point is a gem and gold pendant.

In colors more regal than they are bright, this necklace speaks of a time when gold was reserved for royalty … in a place where gold was elemental. The iridescent purple biwa pearls shimmer with undertones of green and rust. To echo this theme, amethysts, hessonite and spessartite garnets on handwrapped headpins are alternated among the pearls and cool flashing labradorite. Drops are included with accents of deep amethyst and carved ametrine. All are heavily adorned with large beads of 24k vermeil. The central pendant is an angular construction repeating the stones in the strand and adding large rondel twists of lemon quartz. The back of the necklace is 14kgf chain interrupted with large peacock potato pearls allowing the hook clasp to adjust the necklace to the length you prefer. Altogether, a treasure … discovered!

Vermeil is sterling silver with a heavy coating of gold. It wears very well and will give you years of pleasure in this fine piece. It should be maintained as you would sterling silver. This necklace will arrive with a special tarnish-fighting insert. Full care instructions will be provided.
