“Haunted” is the first in a series of mixed media pieces I am creating using my original photographs of old houses.

I’ve distressed and aged the photograph of the house, then adhered the photograph to the painted canvas board. I then added other spooky elements – a fiber and rhinestone tree, crows, and fog.

The house is in a neighborhood where I lived as a child. My sisters and I always thought the house was haunted, as it used to be abandoned and neglected.

The piece is coated with an acrylic varnish to protect it.

Artwork is signed by me and there is a little story on the back about the piece.
