A Wonderous Woman

Description

The super hero Wonder Woman was created in the 1940s. Her powers included super strength, super speed, stamina and flight. She was proficient in hand-to-hand combat and had a natural rapport with animals. This beadweaver's challenge is my tribute to a super hero. One can't miss her blue shorts adorned with stars, her form-fitting top which accentuates her breasts nor her head-piece of red and gold. I combined all these in one piece hope your imagination can see each of these elements.

This piece is bead embroidered using tiny glass seed beads, glass cabochons and sterling silver stars. The pendant measures 2 inches wide by 4 1/2 inches long including the fringe. It is suspended by an 18 inch long beaded double necklace and is secured with a gold plated lobster claw clasp. This one-of-a-kind creation is backed with ultra-suede and is signed by the artist.
