Turquoise Top-Whorl Drop Spindle
Description
This top-whorl spindle is a beautiful and unique way to make your own yarn. I make each spindle by hand and test each one for balance and spinability.It weighs 1.7 oz and is 10 inches long. The whorl is made out of imitation turquoise stone and measures 60mm across. Dyed powdered gypsum is injected with a hard epoxy resin to make it stronger. It is a vivid blue color with black crackle pattern veining through it. The shaft is made out of sustainably harvested mango wood that has a fetching decorative slow twist carved in it. The hook is brass plated and is sturdy enough so that it will not misshape if (or when) you drop it.
Highly recommended for the rockhound or spinning geologist in your life.
