Going Green Pearl and Abalone Necklace

Peacock Finish Green Keishi Pearls have been strung in concert with the most beautiful of abalone ovals to create this uniquely striking necklace. The abalone is a two-sided oval shell - as if the exterior of the shell has been removed leaving a perfectly formed reversed interior. The colors run the gamut of the rainbow but lean to the same peacock type tints as the pearls. I've used a sterling silver modern wave design toggle placed slightly to one side of the spine so the necklace has a particularly pleasing drape. The pearls were strung asymmetrically but left to settle themselves into place. This type of technique allows an unusual and interesting twist to the personality and texture of this artisan designed piece of jewelry. This necklace measures 17 inches.
